Pippa Middleton as ‘Today Show’ correspondent? Don’t count on it

TodayIn what has to be one of the crazier rumors that we have heard throughout the day today, there is buzz for whatever reason that Pippa Middleton, sister of Kate Middleton and a woman who barely ever says anything publicly about her sister or Prince William at all, could suddenly be joining NBC’s “Today Show” in some sort of Royal correspondent role.

So is this even remotely true? Don’t count on it, and to be honest you are probably better off forgetting about this altogether. The rumor was first started up by London tabloid the Mirror, who had the following to say (per of course one of their notorious unnamed sources) on the subject of this possibly happening in the future:

“NBC’s early proposals include Pippa covering events like the Chelsea Flower Show and the opening of Buckingham Palace to the public … [She could be making] up to 20 appearances a year.”

You probably did not need any further confirmation on this, but we’re giving it to you anyway: a source claims per Gossip Cop that Middleton is not going to be joining the show, but that the producers are nonetheless welcoming her to appear at any time. (Of course they are!) As you may recall, Pippa was originally scheduled to appear on several daytime talk shows across America in order to promote a new book earlier this year, but plans were scrapped after a French tabloid published photos of the Duchess of Cambridge in various stages of undress while vacationing with her husband.
