‘The X Factor’ USA preview: Is it CeCe Frey, Emblem3’s time to go?

The X Factor LogoWho will leave “The X Factor” USA on Thursday night? This is a worthy debate, especially when you consider that there were three acts in particular on Wednesday who struggled when it came to effective performances.

So who will end up leaving the competition next? Here is where we see the contestants currently standing at the moment, at least based on where they performed in the show, the quality of the performances, and the voting history of the public thus far.

Safe for sure

Tate Stevens – He performed last on the show, and this could be his ticket to getting back at the top of the voting rankings yet again, even if he did not have the best night on the show.

Carly Rose Sonenclar – Her “As Long As You Love Me” cover may actually be the best performance on the live shows so far this season; if you add to that the fact that she is consistently the best, she’s a given to be sitting in the final three at this point.

In limbo

Fifth Harmony – Their voters have been a tad inconsistent this season, but they had the night’s second-best performance in “Give Your Heart a Break.” In all likelihood, they and Emblem3 will each be sitting in the top four, but anything can still happen on this show.

In danger

CeCe Frey – We know that Demi Lovato’s voting block went completely bonkers last night voting for her … but was it enough? You also have to realize that a good many people tweeting about voting for CeCe may have just been hoping to get Demi to retweet them, follow them, or whatever else. We don’t think she will be the first person voted off, but she will be a part of the final sing-off for sure and will leave thanks to that.

Diamond White – Diamond’s comments were in our mind almost a trick after the show Wednesday. Why? She just wasn’t that good, especially when it came to how she was critiqued. The voting public is much smarter than this, and they will probably realize that she spent the entire performance of “Diamonds” in the wrong key.

Emblem3 – These boys could be the shocker of the night this week in that they were honestly quite dull throughout the entire show. We learned that they cannot do ballads very well, and the last thing they need to do moving forward in this competition is to take away some of their trademark energy and swagger.

Who do you think is going to leave Thursday night? We want to hear more of your thoughts below, and you can check out some more “X Factor” USA scoop here.
