‘The X Factor’ UK: One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson slams Christopher Maloney

Is anyone ready for more drama coming from “The X Factor” UK behind the scenes? Well, let’s just say that Christopher Maloney is not just disliked by show bosses who are hoping to not have him as the eventual winner of the show; some former contestants are also speaking out.

With that, we come to a man in Louis Tomlinson who clearly knows a thing or two about being a star. As one-fifth of One Direction, he is one of those few former contestants who has really earned the right to speak his mind about what works on the show and what does not. Plus, he’s also proof that you do not have to win this show in order to have a great career as soon as it is over.

So what is Louis saying specifically about Christopher? Before the results show Sunday, he was practically begging fans not to vote for him over what he felt was some “nasty” and over-competitive behavior; after he made it through to the semifinal, he posted the following message on his Twitter account questioning whether or not Christopher is good for the show at all:

“Who is gonna buy Christopher’s record ? Nobody.”

Ultimately, here is what makes the case of Christopher interesting. You could argue that all of the publicity that the man is generating is more or less a good thing for a show that could always use the extra attention. On the flip side, however, Simon Cowell wants the artists on this show to be commercially viable, and it does him no good to have someone like Christopher go far who is going to have a hard time finding a market after the show.

So will this man on Gary Barlow’s team end up winning the grand prize? We’ll find out in just a matter of weeks.

Do you think that Louis is right when it comes to Christopher, or is he and everyone else underestimating the fact that the singer obviously has fans based on the fact that he has never been in the bottom three?
