‘The X Factor’ notes: Emblem3, Kendall Jenner, and One Direction
If you look at the names in the title and try to figure out which one of them doesn’t belong, it should be pretty obvious. However, even Khloe Kardashian’s little sister has a place in the newest “X Factor” notes courtesy of her connection to the famous group Emblem3 currently performing on the live shows.
According to a new report from TMZ, Jenner actually requested that Emblem3 perform recently at her 17th birthday party, and thanks to Khloe she tries to go through all of the necessary channels to make it happen. Sadly for her, there was a problem: the group was forced to say no. It was not an issue of them being disinterested in performing at the party, but the guys instead just don’t have the time in the schedule at the moment. There’s a reason why none of these acts really given any performances when the show is not airing, and it’s because they are preparing the staging, vocals, and choreography for what is coming up next (in addition to doing countless press interviews).
Emblem3 has drawn comparisons to One Directions despite not being a traditional boy band, and there are some interesting competition similarities just from the standpoint of the show itself: both have had Simon Cowell as a mentor, and neither party has been the top vote-getter on their season. One Direction has made it in the press recently thanks to some of their antics, but it’s not so much of the positive variety. Rather, band member Zayn Malik has been fighting with Max George of The Wanted on Twitter over everything from vocal ability to who is the more authentic group. Of course, if One Direction really wanted to make a winning argument, couldn’t they just point at the millions of albums that they have sold around the world?
