‘Homeland’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Dana and a disaster (video)
Stop us when this sounds familiar: on Sunday night’s new “Homeland” season 2 episode, Dana Brody is going to suffer a bit of a meltdown. (Okay, odds are that you have probably stopped us already by this point.)
So what does our troubled teenager have to be upset about at the moment? Quite a bit, in between her inability to obtain justice for the woman Finn killed, the fact that her father is always a way, and now having to be moved away from her home courtesy of a mysterious tip. In the latest sneak peek below, Mike is sent by the CIA to evacuate Jess and her children from the house, and is not really given any sort of reason why save for the fact that he is trying to help them evade some sort of harmful threat that could be coming their way soon. Dana of course wants nothing to do with this, and even tries to hold firm in her room.
So what is really going on here? Basically, the CIA doesn’t know where Brody is or what is happening to him, so this is all a precaution; and if there is one person that the agency trusts at the moment above anyone else to speak with his family, it is the man who was more or less the de facto father figure until Damian Lewis’ character made his way back home last season. Mike has suspected Brody of doing some horrible things this season, but he is putting that aside long enough to try and make sure that the woman that he secretly loves (along with her family) is safe.
What do you think about this video … and would you do the same thing in Dana’s rebellious shoes at this point?
