“Dexter” season 7 has contained quite a few surprises so far, whether it be Dexter’s secret being revealed to Deb early or the re-opening of the Bay Harbor Butcher case, but could there be another shocker that causes our jaws to hit the floor by the time the year is done? Based on what Michael C. Hall is saying now, it appears as though this is a definite possibility.
Speaking as a part of a new interview with “eTalk” in Canada, the actor teased that at some point, there could be some more appearances from actors and characters that we have seen on the show in the past:
“Some characters do come back in the seventh season; I won’t say who.”
So who could Hall be talking about here? Depending on when this interview was conducted, it is feasible that he was just hinting at the return of Astor and Cody for the first time in two years, which is what we saw on the show last week. However, there have also been some other names brought up this season that we have not heard in quite a while, including Sargent Doakes and Lumen Pierce. Of course, the problem with Doakes is simple in that he seemed to die at the end of season 2; but given that LaGuerta is currently trying to clear his name, he could at least turn up in a dream sequence at some point.
As for Lumen or maybe even season 3’s Ramon Prado, at least these two loose ends from the past are still alive, and thus capable of impacting the long-term story; but while we would prefer to see the former back than the latter (mostly given that we were always Team Lumen), Julia Stiles coming back would be the best-kept secret in the world if it actually did happen.
