Ratings: ‘2 Broke Girls’ up without ‘Partners’ while NBC’s ‘The Voice’ falls
Old habits die hard, and the latest example of this is watching the third season of “The Voice” continue to slowly drop in the ratings … even though we are looking at a far better show here than we were during season two.For whatever reason, it gets a little tiresome for some viewers after the teams are already decided, and this week saw the NBC show fall harder than it ever has before.
Overall, Monday night’s live episode posted a 3.7 rating that was enough for it to win the overall battle on Monday night, but it still needs to be noted that this was the show’s smallest margin of victory all season long. Buoyed in part by not having to deal with a new episode of the now-canceled “Partners,” “2 Broke Girls” surged upwards to a 3.4 rating that could put it in contention for the top spot next week if current traditions hold.
As for some other notable news, “90210” continues to somehow cling to life of The CW with just a 0.4, whereas “The Mob Doctor” is pretty much dead already with a 0.9. The only good news really for new programming this seas came via “Revolution,” which managed to keep its entire 2.6 rating from last week despite its lead-in dropping under a 4.0 for the first time for a performance show all season long. This is clearly enough to earn the show a season 2, but we are admittedly already worried about just how far the series is going to drop this spring, especially after being off the air for several months.
Do you think that “The Voice” has anything at all to be worried about right now?
