‘Saturday Night Live’ promos: Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, and Jason Sudeikis
While most people do not tend to remember Anne Hathaway that fondly courtesy of her poor-reviewed performance at the 2011 Academy Awards, she was actually a stellar host on “Saturday Night Live” long before that. For one, her Katie Holmes impression during “The Miley Cyrus Show” is something that will never get old.
With this in mind, we actually have some pretty high expectations to see what she could be doing for “SNL” this weekend, especially since there has been so little buzz about it to this point. With this being her third show, she is clearly already familiar with what it takes to be successful here. In addition to that, this is also an interesting time in our country following the election, and there is all sorts of material out there for her to cover.
The first promo featuring Hathaway is funny, as she and Jason Sudeikis engage in some of the typical humor that you would expect to see from the show. There is also some laughs in the other preview featuring both Hathway and musical guest Rihanna, who is making her fourth appearance on the show. While she may be a polarizing artist, the good thing about her is that she does always seem game to make fun of herself in some way via a sketch or two. Let’s hope that she is willing to do the same here, even if her former partner-in-crime as Shy Ronnie in Andy Samberg is no longer around to take part in her sketches.
What do you think about these promos, and are you excited about this weekend’s show?
