‘The X Factor’ USA: Parting words from Willie Jones, David Correy, Diamond White
Thursday night’s “The X Factor” USA was the equivalent of an emotional bomb that just kept exploding, and while you can argue that the majority of the judges made the wrong decision as to who to eliminate, the decisions were still made nonetheless. David Correy, Willie Jones, Diamond White, and Sister C are all no longer part of the competition, and they were all sent home without an opportunity to even test their popularity in front of the voting public.
Of course, most of these contestants opted to speak about their experience on the show after the fact, and they did share some pretty interesting insights that even though they may be crushed right now, they have no intention of giving up in the near future.
Willie Jones – “Thank y’all for the love. I can only go up from here!!”
David Correy – “Been a fighter my whole life. I’m still standing tall & smiling. I love being doubted. It’s time to go hard. #TeamDavidCorrey I love u”
Diamond White – “hey! just wanted to say im totally ok! i mean come on! Top 16!!! thats amazing! trust me…… this is only the start of a new journey. Next up madison square garden.”
Ironically, the only act to keep quiet on social media since their elimination is Sister C, and we have a feeling that they may not be completely thrilled about everything that happened on the show as it did. First, they were portrayed as being people who were unlikable who no one could relate to; and then, they seemed to suggest after their elimination that they saw it coming given “The X Factor’s” tendency to stay away from country music, which typically strange given the enormous presence of country on both “The Voice” and “American Idol.”

I am from South Africa and I love X factor. I was however very disappointed to see Willie Jones go. He is an amazing singer and a wonderful perfomer. I really hope the he brings out a CD and will visit our country. I would love to see him perform

ITS THE LEAST YOU PEOPLE CAN DO.HE IS GOING TO MAKE IT, LIKE CARRIE UNDERWOOD SHE MADE IT. THE JUDGES WERE AGAINST HER SAID SHE WON,t make it. look at her now. and willie will make it also

I like Demi but I agree, she’s too young to be a judge. Willie and David should not be sent home. Paige is just a pretty performer BUT she cannot sing!!

I can not believe the X Factor machine has allowed Willie Jones to be eliminated. Somebody called Demi (never heard of her in the UK), who the hell is she ?, gave Willie awful songs, gave him shocking clothes, poor production, and then kicked him out. Shame on you ! Goodbye USA X Factor. Simon please bring Willie to the UK where he would be appreciated.

I would never consider watching X Factor USA ( we have quite enough of these shows in the UK already) – until someone showed me a clip of Willie Jones. What a joy. Seriously uplifting. What an original talent. I thought I would be watching him right up to the final. But now I learn he has been eliminated by that funny little blonde judge who I’ve never heard of. These shows are so commercially driven that decisions are based not on genuine talent, but strategy and competition. I console myself that at least Willie Jones won’t have to be mangled by the X Factor machine ( hard to imagine this Demi Lightweight ‘ I think its , like, really dope, it’s like sick’ …..Sorry?) but will have acheived enough exposure for seripus artists and producers to pick him up. Goodbye X Factor USA. I will be watching out for Willie Jones.

Big mistake letting Willie, Diamond and David go, they were the best ones, looks like they let the best talent go to give the other losers a chance.

Willie Jones was awesome, Diamond White is so talented, but David Correy’s vocal abilities and intensity totally grabbed me. I’m most bummed to see David Correy go.
L.A. Reid totally befuddles me. I thought he would be my favorite of the judges, but seriously? First Justin Bieber to help him mentor the over-25s (?), than this?? I dunno.

Willie Jones was by far the BEST singer with the X FACTOR! Demi should have chosen him. What’s wrong with this entire show? The Voice is much much better! It is a singing contest. The X Factor UK version is a singing competition, not the US version

Willie Jones was my favourite and he has personality. He should not even be placed in the bottom 2. Paige and Cece were not singing! They were in a circus.

Willie Jones is the only one with a true and original talent on the show. I love the country and R&B tones in his voice. He is also has the nicest personality, he is so down to earth, respectful and humble.
He had awful song choices and production arrangements – his mentor doesn’t have a clue how to mentor him and bring out the best in him.
He was my favourite and I think it was a mistake to let him go. If they had opened up the selection to public votes, people would have voteed for him and he wouldn’t have gone home.
