Manifest season 2 premiere spoilers: ‘Fasten Your Seatbelts’

The upcoming Manifest season 2 premiere is going to be titled “Fasten Your Seatbelts” and based on what we’re seeing, things are going to be crazy. They have to be. Within the first episode back, you’ll get more information on the big Jared/Zeke cliffhanger — no matter what happens, we’ve got a feeling that it’s going to be crazy. After the fact there, we’ll also see the show move in some other interesting directions. There are some more mysteries, another important Calling, and also seeing what’s going to happen with Grace following the big pregnancy reveal.

Will we have our jaw on the floor at the end? That is the goal, right? It’s been a long time since we saw the end of season 1, so we think the show needs to start with some dramatic bangs. That will be the best way to lead into the future.

As the Stone family reels in the aftermath of a devastating shooting, they’re hit with their most foreboding Calling yet, sending Ben (Josh Dallas) on a mission to locate two Flight 828 passengers who have mysteriously gone missing. Grace (Athena Karkanis) grapples with her new pregnancy, the Major (Elizabeth Marvel) attempts to tighten her grip on the unwitting Saanvi (Parveen Kaur), all while the clock on the lives of the 828ers continues to tick towards zero. Also starring Melissa Roxburgh, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina and Matt Long.

The major struggle we imagine at the core of season 2 is this — preserving the mystery, and keeping it exciting and full of dramatic tension. If the writers can manage to pull this off, we’ll give them all of the credit in the world. The first season was a fantastic combination of drama and intrigue. Season 2 should be more of the same, but also a venture into a new direction.
