The wait for more Chicago Fire on television is going to be a rather-long one, indeed! We know that there aren’t any new episodes airing between now and January, so while we wait, why not go ahead and speculate over what the future could hold?
Below, we have a list of five different things that we want to see when the series comes back. Think of this as the producers just setting the stage for all sorts of great stuff that could come throughout the second part of this season.

Cliffhanger resolution – Will Severide survive the attack on him from the contract arsonist? We remains confident that he will make it through, but there could still be some long-term ramifications.
The state of Casey and Dawson – We don’t think that there is a long-term relationship coming. Dawson was in town, they hooked up, and now everyone gets a chance in order to move forward? We don’t think that there’s anything more to this than this.
Stella and Severide’s future – We’re hoping for an opportunity to see the two take some more steps in their relationship, and we think that this point, they both are more ready for it than they’ve been. Yet, there could still be more highs and lows.
The future of Molly’s – We know that Mouch and Platt are now part-owners in the bar, and there should be all sorts of great comedy that goes along with that. We may have to wait a while in order to see it, but it should still be worthwhile.
At least another comedic storyline or two – We don’t want the show to ever deviate from some of its firehouse antics! Of course, the good news is that we don’t expect them to do that anytime soon.
