Charmed season 2 episode 9 return date hopes on The CW
As most of you probably know already, the worlds “midseason finale” directly correlate to mean that there are no more episodes coming this calendar year. For the time being, Charmed is done and we can all take a collective breather for now. With that being said, that doesn’t mean that the series is over in the slightest, as there is a lot of good stuff still to come in the calendar year.
So when is the show coming back? According to a report from the Futon Critic, the date is being listed as Friday, January 17 — and that is a date that makes a good bit of sense to us at the moment. It’s the same week that the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover is coming back on the air, so it makes a good bit of sense to use those episodes in order to better promote Charmed and some other shows. Knowing the way that The CW chooses to airs its new episodes, we have a feeling that there will be a nice run of new episodes in January and February before another hiatus arrives in either late February or March. A lot of the programming strategy will, of course, depend on what The CW wants to do with Friday nights moving into the spring, but we don’t really think it’s a night that it wants to hand over to another show. After all, this is a night that is going to pose significant ratings challenges for almost any show geared to young people.
As for whether or not there are any particular things that we’re hoping to see on the show when it’s back, let’s just start things off with this — can we get a little bit more magic? That is, at least to us, at the very center of what makes Charmed unique.
