Fuller House season 5: Olsen Twins not appearing, confirms star
Has this been one of the most-asked questions regarding the series for a rather long time now? Absolutely, and in a new interview with People Now, star Candace Cameron Bure took it on one additional time:
“I know… You guys can hang on. Have hope! I know the answer… I’ve given up. I mean, it’s not even ‘given up.’ I’ve just let that go awhile ago.”
For years, there was a time when we shared Bure’s sentiment. We’d given up for years now on the notion of the Olsen Twins coming back. After all, why would they come back? They’ve clearly moved on to other parts of their lives and they don’t view the show the same as some of their co-stars. Just think about it like this: They were so young when they were on it they probably don’t even remember every single part of it.
Yet, we thought there was some value in renewing the question entering the final season, if for no other reason than that it would allow them a chance to send-off the show and have a little bit of fun. We didn’t think that they would appear longer than a few seconds, and they wouldn’t even really have to act all that much other than smiling and reading a line or two.
Alas, this idea now seems to be gone into the wind. The good news is that there’s still a lot of other great stuff worth looking forward to when Fuller House comes back on the air with new episodes. Think along the lines of getting a chance to see some wedding planning, Stephanie and Jimmy as parents, and also some returning people from the Full House world. We know that there are a ton of headlines about Lori Loughlin not appearing, but she hasn’t been on the show as a regular from the beginning. She’s always been a recurring presence.
