Crisis on Infinite Earths trailer: Tom Welling, Black Lightning, & more!

Crisis On Infinite Earths

Today, The CW unveiled the latest Crisis on Infinite Earths trailer, and it feels fair to say that the level of hype here is … well, infinite.

In the video below, you can see a number of the greatest heroes in the Arrowverse coming together to take out the biggest threat they’ve ever known: The Anti-Monitor. This is a character worthy of destroying whole worlds in record time, and it’s going to take all hands on deck in order to stop him.

Curiously, The CW is keeping video footage of an the Anti-Monitor under wraps, even though it would be nice in order to see him and the interplay with the team. At the same time, the trailer does give you a first look at the likes of Tom Welling’s Clark Kent, Cress Williams as Black Lightning (finally joining the Arrowverse!), and many more. The guest stars within this episode are aplenty, and we feel like it’s all going to pay off in some spectacular fashion.

Of course, over the course of this crossover we’re going to experience death, sadness, and all sorts of other surprises. This is going to be an event that breaks hearts, but also showcases the reality of being a superhero in this world. There is a lot of different responsibility that you are forced to carry with you.

Do we hope that we’re going to see some more fun, lighthearted moments in the crossover? Eventually it’s possible, but until then we’re going to see a lot of darkness and heartache. This is not some crossover that is coming up out of nowhere. These are people who have had a little bit of time in order to see a lot of different events play out and prepare for the worst. Even still, we have a feeling that they are still not going to be prepared for it.
