We had a good feeling that the folks of Outlander and Starz would find a way to give us a gift this Thanksgiving. Yet, this is not what we expected in the slightest!
In the video below, you can see what is an hour-long video feed of the Fraser family kitchen. You know how there are fireplaces that you can put on your television to add to the seasonal ambiance? This is like that, but themed mostly around the Starz drama series. It’s the perfect thing to put on while you’re preparing a dinner today — or, you just want to cozy up on the couch for a good stretch of time.

While this may not be the most obvious promotion of Outlander on Thanksgiving, we like it! One of the best things that Starz can do as a network is working in order to make the world as immersive as possible. They want you as viewers to feel like you’re there, right in the middle of Fraser’s Ridge with Jamie, Claire, Roger, and Bree. It also helps to make the fan base feel all the more like a community. These things matter, especially when we are right in the midst of a long hiatus like this.
Outlander season 5 premieres on Starz come February 16, and if you’re looking forward to seeing more actual footage from the show, have no fear — some of that will be coming your way before long. We’re sure that there will be some warm, wonderful family moments amongst the Frasers in the new year. Yet, at the same time we also have a feeling that there will be some drama and high stakes. That’s what happens when you are closing in on the Revolutionary War and Jamie is going to be forced to make a big choice.
For all who celebrate Thanksgiving, we hope you’re having a great one!
