Legacies season 2 spoilers: Danielle Rose Russell on Hope, Landon

Legacies season 2 may be on break for this week, but when it does return in early December, there’s a lot to be excited about! Take, for example, the current state of things with Landon.

To say that Landon is in a complicated position is making one of the biggest understatements of all time. This was a guy who had feelings for Hope but then, forgot about Hope after the fact because of the season 2 twist. He ended up in a relationship with Josie but, quite recently, all of the memories are starting to rush back. Now, he has to figure out where his heart lies and what he wants to do. This is going to be no easy task in order to figure out.

Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, here is some of what of what Danielle Rose Russell had to say on the subject of Landon’s complicated future:

“I just think that he doesn’t know what to do … He wants to do right by everyone, including Josie, and by himself. So I think he’s mixed in how to go about the way that he feels because he definitely cares for Josie as well, but he definitely knows that he’s in love with Hope too.”

By the end of the first part of the season, we have a feeling that we’ll know a little bit more about where Landon’s heart lies. After all, why tell this story for all of this season? There are so many characters on the show and because of that, there are so many different ways in which things can swing. (We know that for Josie in particular, there will always be a pretty-significant demand to get Penelope back into the show.) Also, these characters are so young that even if Landon makes a choice, there is no guarantee that this choice is going to be who he ends up wanting to be with forever.

No matter what happens with Landon, there is plenty of other drama coming up on Legacies. New threats are going to be arriving in Mystic Falls and eventually, we have to imagine that Kai is going to have a big role to play.
