We’re still in the camp still reeling for Lucas Black leaving the show, and we’re not sure that some of that pain is ever going to go away fully. Yet, we do think that throughout the upcoming episode, we’ll see the team doing everything within their power to pin Eddie Barrett for the crime. Here’s the problem, though — trying to stop other people from getting him out of it. This is what the sneak peek below is about, as an alibi witness is threatening to destroy everything that the team has worked hard in order to achieve. The team’s goal now is going to be trying to discredit this witness and doing whatever they can to prove that he was responsible.
What is that going to mean in this episode? It starts with proving that this witness actually is a part of the same operation as Barrett, and that the two are somehow in cahoots in order to ensure that he gets out of this situation in one piece. Trying to do that is going to be easier said than done, but we have a lot of confidence in this team. We also know that NCIS: New Orleans probably wants to do everything that it can in order to ensure that justice is served and there can be a little bit of peace around Lasalle. We’re glad that they’ve played the story out, but a little bit of closure at some point would be appreciated.
