Crisis on Infinite Earths promos: Crossovers & the end of worlds

Crisis On Infinite Earths

The epic Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event is coming in just two weeks, and we don’t think we need to tell you how epic this is. Based on the promo below, we could be gearing up for something that is action-packed, intense, and then also fundamentally sad.

Think about what’s going to be going on here — the Anti-Monitor is preparing to destroy a significant chunk of the multiverse, and more lives could be lost in the crossover than almost the entirety of other Arrowverse episodes combined. It’s going to take an almost-impossible effort to save lives, and that seems to be one of the things stressed in this new promo. When Supergirl realizes that there may not be a way to save one of the worlds at the center of this crossover, she then puts the focus on trying to save the lives on this said world.

By the end of this crossover event, we’re sure that some heroes will fall — until then, though, let’s just marvel at some of the heroes we’re going to see. Brandon Routh is reprising his version of Superman, whereas you will also get the Tyler Hoechlin version plus John Wesley Shipp’s old-school Flash, a Bruce Wayne played by Kevin Conroy, another character for Tom Cavanagh, and a few different surprises. There are technically six different shows being thrown into one crossover — Black Lightning is going to show up, but there won’t be an episode of the series proper thrown in here.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will kick off on December 8, and the first three parts will air in consecutive days. After the December 10 installment, the crossover will return in January … probably after one of the biggest cliffhangers imaginable. We’re already worried about what that could be, but excited about the ambition of this project and everything the writers seem interested in pulling off.
