Chicago Fire season 8 episode 10 promo: Severide’s fight for his life
Want to get a good sense of what’s coming? The promo below supplies that, starting with the reminder that Taylor Kinney’s character is facing off against someone who executive producer Derek Haas has coined a “contract arsonist.” This is someone who is doing this because it’s almost their job to do so — they’re extremely dangerous. They know what they are doing, and this is far from the first time that they’ve went out there and put some things ablaze.

Severide now is in the way of them getting out of there — that’s going to mean that we’ll see them do everything in their power to fight him, and maybe set some more stuff on fire in the process.
Do we think that Kelly will find a way out? Almost certainly, if for no other reason than that Chicago Fire has almost killed this character off a number of different times already. Somehow, someway, he always manages to emerge from the rubble! We feel like somehow, he’s gonna figure this out. When he does, there are some other decisions that he could start making — think in terms of what he wants his future to be with Stella, or if he wants to continue to stay in arson investigations.
Remember that Chicago Fire season 8 episode 9 is going to premiere on NBC when we get around to Wednesday, January 8.
