The series is going to return on Sunday, December 1 with a new episode entitled “Breaking Point,” and you have to hope that with a title like this, there are going to be some exceptional stories that are told. This is a chance to learn more about a personal test for one John Nolan, and also one that is also going to test Officer Harper at the same exact time. We’re getting near the end of the season and because of that, we have to go ahead and assume that all things are going to accelerate.

Officer Nolan’s trust is tested when he tries to help the previous owner of his home reconnect with his family. Meanwhile, Officer Harper has finally earned an overnight visit with her daughter that is put into jeopardy when her past undercover life resurfaces again.
While you wait for The Rookie to return, doesn’t this feel like the right opportunity to dive into some ratings discussion? From our end, it at least feels like it! From the moment that the series was announced as airing on ABC Sunday nights this fall, there was cause for confusion. We’re not sure that any of this has changed now, but at least the series has been steady. It’s been bringing in roughly a 0.6 rating in the demo for most of the season, and that’s what it also drew last week. We think that if it does keep up some of this momentum, it’ll at least have a chance at season 3. It’s improving the timeslot! That’s at least a cause for some celebration, right?
