‘The X Factor’ USA: Predictions for Khloe Kardashian, Lyric 145, L.A. Reid

We are now mere hours away from the first “X Factor” live show of the season in America, and there is only one thing that we can be sure of: some madness will indeed ensue. We have 16 singers left who all want this pretty badly, and they are all going to be competing tooth and nail for a $5 million recording contract that they can hopefully do more with than reigning champ Melanie Amaro has so far.

So what can we expect to see from the show this week? That much is still relatively unclear, but we have a few predictions here based on everything we have seen from the show thus far.

Lyric 145 will be the surprise of the night – Yes, we already think that they are very good, but we have a feeling that this will be the group that really manages to take the show by storm. It just feels like the timing is right now for hip-hop to really make its presence felt on an American talent show, and these three are likable as well as entertaining.

L.A. Reid will be unhappy – We know he doesn’t like his group in the Over-25s, and he’s probably going to like them even less after tonight. Save for David Correy, we don’t think that any of these singers has a shot of making it into the top five this year. If nothing else, all Vino Alan, Tate Stevens, and Jason Brock can hope for is enough exposure to have a decent career.

Khloe Kardashian will be nervous – We don’t expect tonight to be the best night ever for our new co-host. It’s her first time co-hosting a live show, and she’s going to have to find her way. With that being said, we do think she has a good shot at being entertaining here in the long-term. We’re not huge Kardashian fans, but of the bunch Khloe comes across as the most down-to-earth, and she has an experienced host in Mario Lopez helping her out.

What do you predict we are going to see here?
