If you’re excited to check out Ink Master season 13, know this — it’ll be back fairly early on in the new year.
Today, Paramount Network confirmed that come Tuesday, January 7 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, the tattoo competition will return with all-new episodes! This is a season that will feature a number of contestants, no coaches, and an interesting theme: Turf War! For more discussion, just check out the official synopsis now:
Paramount Network’s hit tattoo competition reality series Ink Master returns for a 13th Season on Tuesday, January 7 at 10pm ET/PT. This season, titled Ink Master: Turf War, contestants from four different regions of the country – East, West, South and Midwest will represent their “turf” in the competition to be the next Ink Master. Host Dave Navarro and world renowned tattoo artists Chris Núñez and Oliver Peck return to the judges table for what is sure to be an electrifying season. The series is produced by Truly Original with Glenda Hersh, Steven Weinstock and Andrea Richter serving as executive producers.
To go along with this theme, we also know for sure now that there are going to be some returning artists, as well! Angel Rose, Jason Elliott, Frank Ready, and Jimmy Snaz are all going to be coming back for another chance at tattoo glory. All of them are notable for a wide array of reasons from the first go-around on the show, but will they be able to get redemption here? There are 20 contestants in total this season, which is a pretty massive field. That means that there will probably be some big eliminations at some point before we get fairly close to the end of the show.
We’re excited for this season, though we do wonder how long the Turf War theme is going to be a part of the series. What if you’re a good tattoo artist and you’re on a team that is otherwise pretty terrible? That feels like something that could happen and you just find yourself in trouble time and time again. Alas, we’ll have to wait for a little while before we can gauge the mechanics of this season overall.
