Outlander notes: Sam Heughan’s ‘studio tour’ and more

We’re in the final days now of Outlander season 5 production and as you would expect, there is a lot going on. Yet, through all of that, Sam Heughan did still manage the time to give us a brief “studio tour” on a bicycle.

There’s something oddly comical about the video HERE, which features the actor strolling through the studio, in costume, while giving you a sense of all of the different props and different items that are stored there. It almost has a warehouse feel to it, and it feels almost like one of those places where you could spend weeks on end just studying all of the various props and hearing stories about them.

Of course, the twist here is that by the end of his tour, Sam didn’t quite know how to stop the bike at the end of it! Luckily, there are no injuries to report and Jamie doesn’t have to be in any scenes with a period-inaccurate cast.

In a separate post on Instagram, Sam also announced the new Sassenach Tartan, which you can get more information on by visiting the link in his bio. The tartan is being released to commemorate the launch of Vixy Rae’s The Secret Life of Tartan. This is a  continuation of Sam’s celebration of all things Scotland — let’s not forget that he’s also got a new whisky coming via Sassenach Spirits.

Odds are, we’ll hear a lot more about Sassenach Spirits over the next few weeks — for now, there is a season of Outlander to finish off!
