The Chicago Fire season 8 fall finale is going to be coming in just a single week’s time, and it’s going to be dramatic. Not only that, but we’re going to have a chance to see a fantastic guest star: Monica Raymund is back! We haven’t seen Dawson since the start of last season and because of that, there’s a chance that a lot has changed. There have definitely been some things that have changed for Casey in that time!
Of course, the biggest question you gotta wonder with a Dawson return is simply this: Why come back now? What is going to happen because of that? We imagine that there are a few interesting twists and turns that’ll come from her being there, and the promo below seems to indicate that there will be a chance in order to actually see her at Firehouse 51 alongside the crew. She indicates that she’s around for a fundraiser, but she does make it clear to Casey that she is happy to see him. Is this a slight rekindling of an old flame, or is something more going on here this time around?
Below, CarterMatt has the full Chicago Fire season 8 fall finale synopsis with some other news on what lies ahead:
An unexpected visit throws Casey for a loop. Severide sets out to exonerate a wrongly convicted arsonist. Kidd pays the price for burning the candle at both ends. Cruz goes on a mission to fix one of Otis’s old toys.
Within this episode, there are clearly going to be some tough storylines — take, for example, what transpires for Stella Kidd. Just think of things mostly this way — you can’t have a show like Chicago Fire without having a little bit more suspense around it.
Oh, and of course you can’t have a show like Chicago Fire without getting some sort of epic cliffhanger. This is, after all, one of the things that this show does better than anything else. They’ll come up with a way to have your jaw on the floor and to keep you guessing.
