Watchmen episode 5 spoilers: The history of Looking Glass

Watchmen episode 5

Next week on Watchmen episode 5, you’re going to have a chance to take a hearty dive into someone’s origin story. To be specific, we are talking about the history of Looking Glass. He’s one of our favorite characters on the show, someone who has a really fascinating way of interrogating people — he also just so happens to have a really unique sense of style. Given that there are only a handful of characters sort of within Andrea’s direct sphere, we’re hoping for opportunities to get to see as much about some of them as possible.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Watchmen episode 5 synopsis with some more insight as to what’s coming up next:

The origin story of Looking Glass is at last revealed, as is the truth behind the greatest hoax in American history; The Smartest Man in the World plots a daring escape.

Probably the weirdest part of this synopsis, at least to us, is the idea that this is being revealed “at long last,” almost as though this is a show that has been on the air for multiple seasons at this point. Maybe this is just a part of the show’s sense of humor? That’s what we’re going with, at least, for the time being.

The promo, meanwhile, for what is coming up next on the series signals that there are going to be a lot of opportunities to see a hunt underway for the Cavalry, or at least as many of them as possible. They’ll continue to do everything that they can in order to push their agenda forward, but are they the metaphorical final boss at the end of this season of Watchmen? That is going to be based at least in part on what we see the next couple of weeks. These are probably going to be even more important than we could possibly spell out.
