Legacies season 2 episode 4 sneak peek: MG tries to warn Lizzie
Think about where MG is at the moment with his feelings — he’s in love with Lizzie, and has been for some time. Yet, either Lizzie is repressing her own feelings or she’s fine to string him along for as long as possible. In the sneak peek below, you can see MG try his best in order to warn Lizzie about Sebastian. He’s got questions about him and he’s worried that she is rushing too quickly into something with him.
What’s Lizzie’s response to it? Well, she’s convinced herself after a summer of working on herself that she is in the best place mentally that she’s been in for all of her life and with that, she trusts some of what lies within her heart. We think she’s letting a little bit of her self-care actually impair some of what is in front of her. She wants to buy into what her heart and head are telling her, since she’s in the “best emotional place in her life.” But, is she really? It feels instead like she’s allowing her “best emotional place” to cloud her judgment and become somewhat condescending to a lot of the people around her.
In the end, Lizzie tells MG, effectively, to mind his own business — that if he is a great friend, he will support her no matter what. Yet, at the same time one of the things friends should be doing is telling someone when they’re doing or feeling the wrong thing. MG may be somewhat biased, but we do still think that he wants what’s best for her. It doesn’t make sense to intentionally send her in the srong direction, since that’s the sort of thing that could end the friendship that the two have for good.
