Chicago Med season 5 episode 8 spoilers: A doctor in danger

Chicago Med season 5 episode 8 is entitled “Too Close to the Sun,” and if anything, these are the sorts of details that should send a chill down your spine. Could someone be in danger? It definitely feels like it, just like it also feels as though we’re going to be seeing a lot of other fascinating stuff at the same time. Take, for example, a storyline that proves further that social-media influencers don’t always have the best ideas in the world. That means that for Dr. Daniel Charles, he is going to be forced to make some critical decisions.

11/13/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Maggie gets unsettling news about a new friend and breaks protocol to support him. One of the doctors from the Med family is rushed into emergency surgery after a violent assault. A social media influencer lets his users vote on medical advice, forcing Dr. Charles to make a decision. TV-14 L

The first thing that we should say after reading this is rather simple: When is Maggie going to get some good news? It doesn’t feel like it’s happening all that often with her this season. She’s been dealing with her own health crisis and in breaking protocol, what we could end up seeing is a situation where her own career is thrown in danger.

This episode of Chicago Med is going to be the second-to-last one in 2019 — with that in mind, you better believe that this is going to carry over in some shape or form into what you end up seeing on November 20. What we know about that episode right now is that we’re going to be seeing Natalie start to remember some key details about the past, and it feels already that there are going to be some big implications there in terms of her future with Will Halstead.

No matter what you love about Chicago Med, rest assured that there are a LOT of interesting things to be excited about — let’s just hope that this installment lives up to some of the potential we know it has.
