Blue Bloods season 10 episode 7 sneak peek: Eddie gives Jamie advice

Blue Bloods season 10

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Blue Bloods season 10 episode 7 will contain some Reagan family conflict. Yet, the way that this happens on Friday night’s “Higher Standards” should come as a surprise.

Is Eddie taking Frank’s side in a dispute over her own husband? If you watch the sneak peek below, you may think that this is the case. Jamie is frustrated at his father, and he also feels like his father doesn’t treat him the same as anyone else. Eddie’s not so much favoring Frank over Jamie, but she does want him to understand more why Tom Selleck’s character is acting the way that he is. The two are at odds over the way in which some rookie cops are treated by teenagers, and all of this comes down to how cops should react in a situation like this … and also how someone like Jamie should react to the situation at large. Frank’s going to want something different from his son than from a standard cop.

When we watch a preview like this, one of the things that we come back to mentally is something that was a part of earlier this season — namely, the notion that Jamie is more like Frank than anyone else in the family. We don’t necessarily think that this is something that Will Estes’ character wants to recognize, but we don’t think that this makes it any less true. Now that Jamie is a Sergeant and more of a leader, we definitely expect that this is a dynamic that will be played around with more than ever.

What do you want to see when it comes to Blue Bloods season 10 episode 7?

Do you think that Eddie is going to help Jamie understand more of his father’s point of view? Be sure to share right now in the comments, and remember to stick around in the event you want some other news.
