Tonight, The Blacklist season 7 episode 5 decided to do everything that it possibly could in order to throw information at you. Take, for example, the return of the Stranger; or, bringing back Stark and the questions of Reddington’s sickness from season 6.

In the end, the Blacklister for the episode in Norman Devane was a man intent on doing whatever he could to find “cures” for various ailments, though it took him experimenting on patients and almost killing some. He was afraid of death himself, and that was a part of his motive. Yet, Reddington wanted some information on Katarina Rostova and some of the people she was working with, and getting some information on some names was important to him.

So while we know now that Reddington had a rather thick file, at the same time we’re not getting a chance to learn what’s in it. Ressler had it in his possession, but he decided not to talk about it — not only that, but he also doesn’t want to tell Elizabeth about what he’s learned.

Yet, here are the biggest reveals — Reddington is sick, Aram accidentally got a hold of someone named “Gregory Flynn a.k.a. Berdy Chernov,” and we also learned that The Stranger has the last name of Bloom. So, there was a LOT tonight. A LOT. Consider this one of the most revealing episodes yet. To think, there are still so many more reveals coming over the next few weeks; hopefully, these will allow us a chance to get to know even more answers than what we have at present.

What we know for now is that Reddington has a new target, The Stranger got a new name, and it does also seem as though James Spader’s character could be dying.
