Coming up on Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 7, be prepared to check out something different — very different. We are, after all, talking about a huge showcase for Alex O’Loughlin, not just as an actor but also a writer/director. He is the centerpiece for an installment that was filmed, at least in part, in Los Angeles prior to the start of production heading out to the islands. It’s meant to look and feel different than almost any story that came before it, and it’s also going to be a story that is personal to Steve McGarrett, as well.
After all, how else would you really describe an hour of television where Steve’s mother is in danger? Christine Lahti will make her presence felt here at some point, and Steve may along the way go off the grid and away from his team in order to ensure that she comes back. It’s going to involve a lot of danger — and also, judging from the photo above, a rather impressive beard.
Below, CarterMatt has the full Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 7 spoilers with more scoop as to what’s coming:
“Ka ‘i’o” – When the CIA informs McGarrett that his mother has gone rogue on her undercover mission and may have killed her partner, Steve goes solo to Mexico to bring her home and prove her innocence, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Will Steve end up finding his mother? That is clearly one of the big pushes of this episode, and it’s something that should be able to define much of the story from by and large. We do hope, regardless of how this story ends, that there are some more opportunities for Hawaii Five-0 to allow cast members to tell stories like this. There is, after all, just something so appealing about being able to see a story that could feel almost like its own little movie. Alex put his all into making this article spectacular; we just have to hope that it lives up to some of the demand that is out there for it in advance.
