So what is this hour going to revolve around? Think in terms of a lot of different things. This episode should serve as a chance for Gabriel to have some time in the spotlight. This case is actually going to be something rather personal, and maybe it will serve as a distraction for both of these characters amidst everything else that is going on in this world.

Gabriel is first chair on a case defending a teacher involved in a school shooting, and this case hits particularly close to home for both Gabriel and Annalise. Elsewhere, Annalise attempts to discourage Tegan from her new quest to right a wrong, all while Oliver makes a shocking confession.
Through this episode, we’ll get a little more information that connects the present and the past — we’re not going to get all of the answers, though. One of the things we’ve come to expect from this show over time is that the midseason finale, in particular, is when the world will be blown wide open. After that, the characters will have to do their part to piece everything back together again. Often, that is so much easier said than done.
