Is Almost Family new tonight on Fox? A look at upcoming episodes
Yet, things change in the world of television — especially when you’ve got the World Series in the middle of everything making life all the more difficult. Baseball is impeding the ability of Almost Family to get on the air for the second straight week, though the decision to pull the show this time is a little bit more of a last-second decision.
Because of this, be prepared for the hiatus coming up to last much longer than usual. We’re hearing that there may be a two hour The Masked Singer on Fox this Wednesday, so it may actually be mid-November before Almost Family comes back on the air. That’s a long time to wait, especially for a show that, at the moment, is facing a fairly uncertain future. It’s not clear whether or not the series is going to even stick around and air its full season before January. The only advice that we can offer at the moment is to keep watching, and maybe that will produce more good news in the end.
So what else is going to be coming up when the show does return? We don’t want to share dates (since those could change), but be sure to check out synopses for all three upcoming episodes.
Episode 4, “Fake AF” – The sisters meet a new sibling, restaurant owner NATE (guest star Michael Urie), who helps them secure one of the most exclusive reservations in New York. Unfortunately, the dinner doesn’t go as planned and Julia is forced to apologize to Roxy and Edie for her missteps. Meanwhile, Edie and Tim discuss starting a family, but Edie is conflicted on where she stands, Dr. Bechley begins his volunteer work at a hospital, where he uncovers another Bechley baby and Roxy invests her time in training her gymnastics protégé, Izzy, while tensions with her parents rise in the all-new “Fake AF” episode of ALMOST FAMILY.
Episode 5, “Risky AF” – Julia is forced to make a drastic decision when she finds out that Isaac has been secretly working with Leon for advice on his current patients. Meanwhile, Roxy takes her new protégé back to her old gym, where she runs into old enemies from her gymnastics days, Tim is on high alert when Edie misses a family event to “work” all weekend and Julia steps back into the dating scene in the all-new “Risky AF” episode of ALMOST FAMILY.
Episode 6, “Kosher AF” – Another Bechley baby comes to the clinic looking for information about Leon and then invites her new family over for Shabbat to get to know them. Meanwhile, Julia is developing feelings for Donovan (guest star Michael Stahl-David), but as the topic of children arises, they seem to disagree. Amanda suggests that she and Edie go on a weekend getaway, as Tim’s suspicions grow deeper. In court, Edie catches Amanda off-guard getting a key piece of evidence dismissed. Dr. Isaac develops suspicions regarding Roxy’s past and current drug usage, but when he confronts her, she gets defensive in the all-new “Kosher AF” episode of ALMOST FAMILY.
