Is Antonio Jaramillo leaving Mayans MC? Is Riz dead?
For the majority of this episode, we had a lot of belief that we were going to see Riz make his way through the metaphorical rubble in one piece … and we had a lot of reason to be hopeful for it! Just think in terms of where he was in the hospital, and the fact that the doctors seemed to be taking care of it. It felt like he was going to be able to pull through — hence, why Bishop was keen to kick off a vote that would allow the club to try and move forward with a delicate business arrangement.

Yet, it was Taza tonight who opted to make one of the biggest moves imaginable, deciding to take his own friend’s life in order to ensure that there was vengeance over what happened with the attack. This was a way to ensure that this will happen, but there obviously was a key cost to it. Riz was a huge part of Mayans through all of its run and, because of that, the club will be changed coming up.
Of course, also consider this — Coco is not exactly 100% either. It remains to be seen whether or not he’s ever going to get back to fighting shape, but with Riz now dead, we have a feeling that vengeance will be on his mind perhaps more so than anything else. It’s not just about himself anymore; it’s also about his friend.
Antonio Jaramillo will be missed on Mayans MC, just as any actor would who’s been around the show for a while. Yet, sometimes with a show like this people just gotta go. It’s ingrained into the DNA of what the particular series is.
