The Walking Dead season 10 spoilers: Lauren Cohan appearance possible

Walking Dead season 8

There’s already some exciting news out there for fans of The Walking Dead about season 11 — Lauren Cohan is going to be back as a full-fledged regular!

With that being said, though, there could be even more news beyond that — it’s still possible that Cohan reprises her role as Maggie at some point over the upcoming batch of episodes, as well! It is probably not going to be an enormous gig, but it’s a gig nonetheless and that’s exciting in our mind.

Speaking as a part of a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, it was show executive producer Angela Kang who first confirmed this news — though it was with a fairly subtle tease along the way:

“We may see her at some other point this season, but I don’t want to say too much about anything.”

It’s true that this isn’t the largest tease in the world for new episodes, but isn’t it still enough to get excited about? That’s what we’re thinking given that season 10 could use a greater touch of the familiar. Remember that we’ve lost Andrew Lincoln already and Danai Gurira is leaving this season — it’s hard for a show like this to continue losing numbers and, ultimately, it’s nice that we get to see the series add another familiar face.

If we had to guess, though, we would say that we’re going to be waiting for a while in order to see Maggie on the air. If we had to guess, we’d argue that it could be the second half of the season — remember that Whiskey Cavalier was canceled this past spring, and there were likely many episodes filmed by that particular points. The writers would have to work hard in order to ensure that some sort of brief appearance would happen — and for us, it’s just too hard to buy.

The next new episode of The Walking Dead season 10 is going to be airing on AMC this weekend. If you do want to preview that further, be sure to visit the link here.
