Outlander (Jamie & Claire) vs. Supergirl (Kara & Lena) – ‘Shiptober finale poll

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

In today’s edition of ‘Shiptober, we’ve made it — this is the big finale! After four weeks of voting, there are only two ‘ships that remain and they are powerful ones. Both Jamie & Claire of Outlander and Kara & Lena of Supergirl each started off the tournament as #1 seeds, with each one of them performing rather well in polls in the past. While both pairs have received tens of thousands of votes this month, all of that goes out the window now. It’s one last poll to determine who gets to sit atop the metaphorical pedestal as ‘ship champion.

Voting Rules – Voting will be underway in the poll below from now until Friday, November 1 at 10 a.m. Pacific time — note the new time. (Due to server difficulties the morning of October 30, we are extending the voting window.) Vote however often you’d like! Jamie & Claire, Outlander (#1 seed) – There have been some challenging battles for Jamie & Claire to get to the end this year — both Ian & Mickey of Shameless and Magnus & Alec of Shadowhunters proved to be rather formidable but, in the end, the Frasers were able to steamroll Jane & Weller of Blindspot in the final four. Now, they’re looking to overtake the reigning ‘Shiptober champ. It’s all timed quite well, given that we imagine more details about Outlander season 5 will be out before long.

Kara & Lena, Supergirl (#1 seed) – Meanwhile, Supercorp has already taken out one formidable Outlander challenger in Roger & Bree, who performed quite well in the final four but still came up short. We know that the fanbase here is passionate and their list of victories is incredible — ‘Shiptober champ plus also the top pair in some Valentine’s Day and at the CarterMatt Awards in the past under ‘Ship of the Year. Will there be another victory here? All signs point towards a tough, hard-fought battle among both parties!
