SEAL Team season 3 episode 5 sneak peek: Sonny wants a mission
In the sneak peek below for Wednesday night’s new episode, you can see Davis do her part in order to prepare the team for what looks to be a complicated overseas mission. It’s one that features a deployment in stages, with two individuals needed at first. (They will be followed by others soon after.)
So who is the best candidate in order to head overseas to take part in the task? Sonny is quick to volunteer … or, perhaps, a little bit too quick to volunteer. As he makes it clear in this preview, he feels like it’s better for him to go cause some trouble somewhere else than be stuck spinning his wheels. We know that there is something more than that going on here, and it’s something that stems a little bit more from what happened with him and Davis just this past week. Davis wanted to end the romantic relationship between the two of them. Why? It had to do with her own feelings about how the team can continue to function, and it’s obviously something that Sonny had a different opinion on. He is hurt and heartbroken and because of that, he’s going to be doing everything that he can to block out those emotions. What better way than taking on a case?
Well, we think that one of the reasons why Sonny won’t end up going on this mission because of concerns that he may not be able to handle it. We all know that he is more than capable of doing a good job, but not if he is distracted or is a little too gung-ho on causing a little bit of chaos.
Sonny’s going to get his head on straight soon — or at least we hope so. Meanwhile, Clay and Ray are going to be tasked with the mission and not everything is going to go according to plan.
