Curious as to what’s coming on The Rookie season 2 episode 6? Then be prepared for a storyline entitled “Fallout” that will feature a crisis. Or, at the very least, the threat of a crisis. In some instances, it’s the threat of danger that is every bit as dangerous as when some of the danger actually arrives. Be prepared for a combination of both throughout the episode, as an emergency alert causes an enormous reaction throughout the city.
Below, CarterMatt has the official The Rookie season 2 episode 6 synopsis with some more information as to what’s coming up:
“Fallout” – An emergency alert of an impending missile attack sends Los Angeles into chaos and uncertainty, while the officers each try to keep the peace and deal with their own disasters on an original episode of “The Rookie,” airing SUNDAY, NOV. 3 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.
One thing that we’re worried about on a meta level at the moment is this: How will The Rookie replicate an alert without making it look or sound like one? We know that there are some other shows out there over time that have come under fire for doing something that too closely replicates one … mostly because they want to avoid a situation that, ironically, seems to be the basis for this very episode.
Whether or not there actually is an impending missile threat remains to be seen but personally, we don’t think that the main crux of the episode is so much about that. Instead, it’s a little bit more about seeing how the team handles a situation where there is SO much panic. We’re sure that the city will be safe from a large-scale attack, but they could be forced to take on a number of different issues along the way. This is the sort of episode that is perfect to kick off the November sweeps period, mostly due to the fact that it will cause some conversation and maybe get people more amped up than the standard hour of TV.
