NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Adam Levine now standing beside Christina Aguilera

Even though Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera may have one point been at odds with each other, it may have never been as bad as it seemed to some of us in the media; as a matter of fact, we are now seeing the Maroon 5 frontman doing a rather gentlemanly thing stand up for the “Fighter” singer after some of the frequent abuse that she has taken online.

Speaking in a press conference (per Wetpaint), Levine bashed some of the frequent criticism surrounding Christina over the past three seasons of the show, including comments both about her weight and her supposedly having a personality that makes her at times off-putting:

“People shouldn’t say those kind of things, because, f—k you! Come on guys, grow up! It [infuriates me], and of course I have her back, of course I defend her. It’s not nice to just have your bread and butter be trashing other people. That’s bullying.”

Of course, we have a feeling that Christina is probably not allowing herself to get too upset about these comments, mostly since that they are coming from people who by and large have little else to do other than sit around and insult someone online who they have never met. She already has an enormous following thanks to some of her own music, and we have a feeling that this will continue to allow some of her acts this season on the show to make it very deep in the competition.
