The Flash season 6 episode 4 promo: Bloodwork’s bad Halloween

Flash season 4

The Flash season 6 episode 4 is going to be an episode stuffed full of a lot of creepy stuff. It’s Halloween! What not’s not to like about that?

Well, the simple answer there is A LOT. If you are a part of Team Flash, there is a lot for you to not appreciate about what’s going on right now, let alone some of where the story is going. We are in the midst, after all, in an episode that is all about the rise of Bloodwork.

At the moment, Ramsey Rosso isn’t quite at the peak of his powers, but it’s pretty clear that he is on the way towards something monstrous. In order for him to live at the moment, he needs to continue killing. He’s dangerous in a way that other villains haven’t been and the more he kills, the more horrifying he could become.

One of the words that has been used to describe the first part of The Flash season 6 is simply this: Fear. The writers want this to feel almost like a horror-movie villain in a lot of ways, and we think that thematically, he is meant to offer up a presence and a specter of death. It’s something that Barry himself has been afraid of as we inch closer to Crisis on Infinite Earths, and there is certainly a good reason for a level of high-intensity fear there.

How would you act if you find out that you are going to die? For Barry Allen, he wants to leave behind a legacy and wants to prepare to help everyone else. Does he want to change the future? Maybe, but there is a difference between changing the future and trying to cheat death … otherwise known as what Ramsey seems to be intent on doing. Maybe this is some of the plurality that we’re going to see coming down the road.
