Fuller House season 5: Is there still hope for a season 6 somewhere?

Fuller House

At the moment, all signs point towards Fuller House season 5 being the final one over on Netflix. Yet, is there still a chance that there could be a second life down the road? Is there any reason at all to have some hope?

Well, if you were to ask some of the cast, they would tell you that they are still crossing their fingers and hoping for the best. Speaking as a part of a new interview with Access, Candace Cameron Bure made it clear that she doesn’t quite know why the series is ending at Netflix — but wants to remain optimistic for the future, as well:

“It’s just beloved by millions and millions of people, and I think there are so many more stories that we could tell … So, we’re going to savor every moment that we have. I don’t know, maybe we’ll be back.”

If there is still hope for the series to end up somewhere else, where could it be? At some point down the road, we wouldn’t be shocked if this was a show that made its way over to the HBO Max streaming service. Why? Let’s put it like this — HBO Max is owned by WarnerMedia, and since they have a new service, why not find a way to include a new property there? The only question that we’d have is whether or not it’s even possible in order for Fuller House to immediately get a second life at another streaming service. Sometimes, Netflix has clauses within their show deals that keep that from happening. This is one of the reasons why One Day at a Time didn’t end up somewhere else in the streaming world. It was eventually picked up at Pop instead.

For now, doesn’t it feel like Candace has the right strategy when it comes to the future of the series? Since she’s currently filming season 5 at the moment, it makes some sense for her and everyone else to approach this as the end … and just see what happens down the road. There are still a few more episodes left to be filmed, after all!
