Want to know the Supernatural season 15 episode 4 return date … or get some more details when it comes to what’s next? Consider this article a resource on at least some of that!

Let’s kick things off here, though, with a reminder of some of the rather-unfortunate news — there is no new episode next week. It’s Halloween, so the clear implication there is that The CW doesn’t want to lose viewers because of people who are off celebrating doing other things.

When the show comes back on November 7, it will be with an intriguing episode entitled “Atomic Monsters” — one that is being directed by none other than Jensen Ackles! It was actually the first episode filmed this summer, which is often the case when Jensen directs. This may be the last time that we get an episode from Ackles in this role through the remainder of Supernatural (insert tear emoji here), so we may as well try to enjoy it for as long as we possibly can.

Below, CarterMatt offers up a Supernatural season 15 episode 4 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up next:

JENSEN ACKLES DIRECTS – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious death of a girl and the disappearance of another. Jensen Ackles directed the episode written by Davy Perez (#1501). Original Airdate 11/7/2019.

So what are we imagining that this episode will bring in the long-term? Think along the lines of something that is rather nostalgic. It feels a lot like an old-school monster of the week episode on paper, but that may be the idea … to lure you into a false sense of security before delivering something that actually feels rather different. We know that one of the goals for Supernatural should really be finding a way to keep you on your toes throughout its endgame, and maybe this is a way to do it — consider this almost a game of promotional bait-and-switch.

Here’s another sad note to mention as we do get closer to this episode coming on the air — by the time that it does, we’ll be 20% of the way through the final season. It’s a hard thing to swallow, and it’s only going to get harder from here.
