Lucifer season 5 news coming on The Kelly Clarkson Show

At this point, Clarkson’s love of Lucifer is well-documented. She’s talked about it on social media, while also lamenting the fact that it hasn’t been picked up for a season 6. While we can’t promise anything more beyond season 5 (a renewal currently feels unlikely), Clarkson’s daytime talk show will showcase Lucifer prominently on October 28. The official See what’s Next Twitter account (operated by Netflix) confirmed the news recently, while also noting that Kelly will be “dropping some news about season 5.” What does that mean? Maybe it’s one of the following tidbits.
She’s guest-starring on an upcoming episode – Is Lucifer Morningstar auditioning for The Voice? He’s got the pipes for it. Or, maybe it just turns out that Clarkson is playing some sort of diabolical singing criminal who Lucifer, Chloe, and the LAPD are pursuing. (It may be wishful thinking, but we’re hoping that Lucifer is back on Earth with Chloe and the rest of the gang early.)
A premiere date – It feels a little early for that, but maybe this is Netflix and studio Warner Bros. TV wanting to take advantage of some publicity to get new viewers on board the show.
Some sort of teaser – It wouldn’t shock us if there was 30 seconds or so of footage shown, given that production has been going since August.
The real struggle to figure out what this news is comes mostly via us being so far out still from the premiere; not only that, but what sort of Lucifer news would be best for a daytime talk show? We have to remember that the majority of people watching are probably not going to be diehard Lucifans … but maybe they will be after this airs.
