Chicago Med season 5 episode 6 spoilers: Meet Dr. Charles’ old friend
What is so appealing about Dr. Charles as a character is mostly the fact that he’s got so much history that is worthy of exploring. He’s been around the block and experienced highs and lows that some other characters can imagine. His life hasn’t always been easy, and because of this, there could be some setbacks that we’re not even altogether familiar with at this point in time.
Our hope at present is pretty simple: To have some opportunities in which to learn more about him — while also getting some interesting medical cases at the same time.

10/30/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Dr. Manning’s actions with a recent patient lead to serious repercussions. April and Noah disagree over a patient who is injured after a beating. Dr. Charles is visited by a childhood friend with a surprising revelation. TV-14 L, V
The part of this story for Dr. Manning is clearly worth some interest mostly because of what she’s been through — while she was able to come back to work following her traumatic brain injury, that doesn’t mean that she is 100% — even though there’s no guarantee that she can even recognize that in herself. That’s one of the things that is difficult about the profession of being a doctor — sometimes, it is really hard to be altogether perceptive of some of what you’re dealing with and some of what you’ve gone through. There’s always going to be some inherent bias there.
In the end, all of this is a reminder that within the world of One Chicago, there are constantly going to be obstacles — think in terms of one right after the next. The crossover was a big one, but there are going to be some other big stories in the weeks to come, as well.
