Poldark season 5 episode 5 spoilers (PBS): Drake’s big risk

Want to get some more news when it comes to Poldark season 5 episode 5 when it airs in one week’s time? We’re at the halfway point of the story at the moment and with that, you can expect this: Things are heating up! There will be more action, more drama, and a whole lot more in the way of romance. We’ve always known that Poldark is an epic story with high stakes, and as Ross seeks to protect his family, he will be faced with more obstacles than ever before.

Of course, the story of Poldark is at this point far from just the story of Ross — there are so many different important characters involved in this world and we’ll see a number of them over the course of this episode take on some huge subject matter. Take, for example, Drake doing whatever he can to make Morwenna happen, even if that means taking an enormous risk. It wouldn’t be the first time that he’s done this, but within this episode, he’ll be putting himself in a position where if things don’t go according to plan, he may not be able to walk it back.

Below, CarterMatt has the full Poldark season 5 episode 5 synopsis with other news on what’s ahead:

Ross returns to London in the hope of securing his friends’ passage home and Drake takes a bold risk to help Morwenna. Geoffrey Charles and Cecily find themselves in trouble, while George and his allies hatch a plan to destroy their opposition for good.

We’ve noted this before, but we do think that the storyline involving Geoffrey Charles and Cecily is meant to be more or less a proto-version of what we have seen already with Ross and Demelza. The show wants there to be a new dramatic romance, and this one will fit the bill as the story goes along.
