Entering The Affair season 5 episode 10, you are going to be inching closer to the end of the story. We’ve also seen the lives of most of these characters spiral down into utter chaos. Petra’s article about Noah has detonated his entire world, but then again, you can look at the nature of Noah’s own actions, as well. If it wasn’t her, it could’ve been someone else who wrote that article. There were a number of different paths that could’ve gotten us to this point, one way or another. This is just the one that was decided upon.

Based on what we saw tonight, nothing within this family is going to be okay. Whitney’s just revealed one of the darkest moments of her life in the infamous hot-tub scene, and that may be what ends up causing Helen to see the world differently. Is is true that Sasha put the ball in motion? Sure, but that doesn’t take away from some of what Noah did. He acted without consequence or thought as to what the ramifications were going to be. He did not think in terms of how some of his actions impacted others. You can question thinks like malicious intent or the like all you want, but the results are still the results. Noah’s having to pay for a lifetime of mistakes all at once, and the same goes for some of the people who are all around him.

Oh, and to make matters even worse, there is a massive wildfire that could be causing the entire family to evacuate their home. They’re without a precise future, and also a place to call their home.
