Blindspot (Jane & Weller) vs. Lucifer (Lucifer & Chloe) – ‘Shiptober poll

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

In today’s edition of ‘Shiptober, we’re back with two established performers in this tournament who have found themselves, yet again, fairly far into the voting. In the case of Lucifer & Chloe from Lucifer, you’ve got a passionate pair who find themselves separated in matters of Hell and Earth. Meanwhile, with Jane & Weller from NBC’s Blindspot, there’s a cliffhanger like no other that could put Weller’s life in jeopardy. What we’re trying to say is that entering both shows’ fifth and final seasons, there are some troubles for these pairs … but we remain hopeful they’re work their way through them.

Voting Rules – Voting will be underway in the poll below from now until Thursday, October 24 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Vote however often you’d like! (For more voting instructions or technical questions, check out the bottom of this article for answers.)

Be sure that you subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube — there are frequent video discussions there for many of the shows discussed in this tournament!

Jane & Weller, Blindspot (#4 seed) – Jane & Weller are coming into this round on the heels of one of the most impressive ‘Shiptober victories to date — Owen & Amelia of Grey’s Anatomy made it all the way to the finals last year, so it is no small feat being able to take the two of them down. Yet, Jeller fans can’t quite take their foot off of the gas courtesy of the level of competition that lies before them here. Consider this voting a way to keep everyone engaged until 2020, when the home stretch of story is slated to premiere.

Lucifer & Chloe, Lucifer (#2 seed) – Meanwhile, Deckerstar fans are equally waiting with bated breath for new episodes next year, especially when you consider the circumstances that Tom Ellis and Lauren German’s characters now face. Lucifer & Chloe withstood tough competition in each of their first two rounds, so they do enter this showdown battle-tested and ready to show what they’re capable of. In terms of the characters themselves, we know that they’re capable of taking on everyone from everyday criminals to Biblical characters like Cain.
