Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 5 spoilers: The Halloween episode!

Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 5

Few shows celebrate Halloween quite like Hawaii Five-0 does, and we’ve gotta say that it does it quite spectacularly. This is a show that brings forward creativity, humor, costumes, and so much more in every single special that they bring to the table, and the one airing next week (season 10 episode 5) seems to be doing that as well.

Earlier this year, we spoke to executive producer Peter Lenkov on the subject of this installment, and some of what he had to say was that he wanted this to have somewhat of a monster-movie feel. While we don’t think that we’re going to see Steve McGarrett battling demons like he is a Winchester brother, this episode could at least paint a similar picture. It could give you a sense that the writers are going in somewhat of a supernatural direction before turning things around and surprising you.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 5 synopsis with some further news as to what is coming up next:

“He ‘oi‘o kuhihewa; he kākā ola i ‘ike ‘ia e ka makaulā” – It’s Halloween and Five-0 investigates a home invasion turned deadly after a dangerous “monster” escapes from the basement. Also, Max (Masi Oka) returns to Oahu with a very special guest, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“He ‘oi‘o kuhihewa; he kākā ola i ‘ike ‘ia e ka makaulā” is Hawaiian for “Don’t blame ghosts and spirits for one’s troubles; a human is responsible”)

The return of Masi Oka couldn’t be more appropriate for this episode, given his tendency to dress up as Keanu Reeves characters for the big day. It is also a reminder of the tight-knit nature of the Hawaii Five-0 Ohana, one where you have an opportunity to see actors return at times to their old roles. While it doesn’t happen with everyone who leaves the show, Oka is not the first former regular to do some sort of reprisal.
