Outlander notes: Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, and more!
Let’s start things off here, though, with learning a little bit more about Lauren Lyle and Cesar Domboy’s favorite episode of the series — “Uncharted” from season 3. The two explain why in the video HERE, and we cannot say that we’re shocked. In addition to this being the wedding episode for Marsali and Fergus, it was also shot in South Africa in what was a beautiful, pristine setting. Domboy talks about seeing dolphins and how tight-knit everyone was at the time the ceremony was shot.
Based on what we’re hearing from the two actors, this was a special occasion that merits another look. You can see “Uncharted” on Saturday during a special marathon all about favorite episodes. It kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Sophie Skelton gets fishy on the Outlander set
In the Instagram tease HERE, you get a small glimpse of what is going on for the actress playing Brianna. Let’s just say that it involves working with an unusual scene partner … fish props! (For those wondering, we seriously doubt that these are real fish.) Sophie jokes in the caption that it is a normal day … or is it? Consider that a clue that it probably isn’t, but we wouldn’t expect anything else given how late into production the cast and crew are at the moment.
Caitriona Balfe introduces you to Mollie Miles
HERE, you can see a tease via the actress for her upcoming role in Ford v. Ferrari, which is hitting theaters on November 15. If you haven’t seen much out there about the film, or don’t know much about cars (we’re in this boat), this gives you at least a slight introduction both to her character of Mollie and also the story. (For the record, Mollie Miles is the perfect name for someone who wants to be a part of car racing.)
