Chicago Med season 5 episode 5 spoilers: ‘Got a Friend in Me’

Next week, Chicago Med season 5 episode 5 will bring you to the other side of the hospital … but life isn’t going to get any easier. This is still a show about one of the busiest hospitals in all of the Windy City and the wide array of troubles that tend to be present there. There’s going to be arguments, difficult decisions, and a whole lot more that transpires there week in and week out.

This episode is entitled “Got a Friend in Me,” and that makes us want to think of happy times and happy things — think in terms of something straight out of Toy Story. Yet, instead what we’re getting moving forward is a story about conflicts between doctors, Maggie’s future, and then also complicated patients. 10/23/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Dr. Choi and Dr. Marcel don’t see eye-to-eye over the treatment of a patient’s chronic pain and rumors start to circulate about Maggie. Dr. Manning works to help a young boy, but her treatment suggestions are challenged by the parents who believe in only using holistic remedies. TV-14

Will there be some remnants from the crossover within this episode? We have to imagine so but, in the end, we’re also of the belief that we’re going to be seeing in here more of the stories that played out before it ever began. Other than a few little things here and there, the crossover stood out more as its own event without too many major plots that existed before. Take, the lack of mentioning of anything when it comes to Will and Natalie. There might be some of that next week; if nothing else, there’s a chance to learn more about Dr. Marcel and what he brings to the table.
