Outlander (Roger & Bree) vs. NCIS (Gibbs & Sloane) – ‘Shiptober poll

Outlander season 4

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

In today’s edition of ‘Shiptober, we’ve got what we would consider to be a battle between underdogs as round 2 comes to a close! Entering the first round, we didn’t have Roger & Bree of Outlander or Gibbs & Sloane of NCIS seeded high. Yet, they were both able to unseat some strong duos in this tournament to make it here. Now, one of them is going to have a chance to create a little bit of chaos in the rounds to come.

Voting Rules – Voting will be underway in the poll below from now until Monday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Vote however often you’d like! (For more voting instructions or technical questions, check out the bottom of this article for answers.)

Roger & Bree, Outlander (#6 seed) – This isn’t the first year that Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton’s characters have been involved in the tournament; yet, they may have more momentum than ever this time around. Think about things this way. We’re coming off of a huge season for the two — they’re now parents and they’ve been through a lot, but they have a chance to now be together and happy. Given that this is Outlander, there will be setbacks — here’s to hoping that they can pull through them!

Gibbs & Sloane, NCIS (#7 seed) – This couple, otherwise known as “Slibbs,” has made quite a journey in ‘Shiptober already! This duo, played by Mark Harmon and Maria Bello, has already advanced through both the play-in tournament and then also a showdown with frequent ‘Shiptober contender Waverly & Nicole. While there is not any confirmation at present as to whether or not Slibbs will actually get together, there’s clearly been some movement in that direction. Now, the question becomes whether or not this could turn into something more.
